I remember hearing about Dragon's Lair from friends. How they
waited in line all day to play the game, and how amazing it
truly was. It wasn't until I got my chance to take my hand at
Dragon's Lair, and experience the thrill of being Dirk the Daring
and trying to rescue Daphne from the castle. From the day I
first played the game, I was hooked. I would beg my parents
to take me to the arcade. When there, I would beg them to give
me quarters so I could play the game over and over and over.
Now, years later, I still look back at those days of my youth.
Some people say I wasted my time playing games ... but I never
say Dragon's Lair as a wasted afternoon. I saw it as an adventure
that I was glad to take part in.
Since those days, I've puchased and played all of the Dragon's
Lair series (and even Space Ace). The game still holds cherished
memories, and never seems to get tired. Perhaps it's the fantastic
animation. Or the classic story line. Or maybe even the intriguing
and unique characters. I count all of those as reasons for Dragon's
Lair's success and fame. Now, with the release of the DVD, we
all get to experience the game again... |
