You can currently buy Dragon Wars from GOG, which uses DOSBox to run the game. GOG does not own the copyright for Dragon Wars and is just using DOSBox to run the game. They offer a custom installer that bypasses any DOSBox setup, which is convenient. However, if you are familiar with DOSBox, and want to setup the game yourself, you can get it for free (see the DOS link below)

Download the PC DOS version of the game. In our opinion, this is the best way to experience the game. Download the attached ZIP file, and use a program to decompress the files (such as WinZip). In order to play the game on a modern computer, you will need a DOS emulator (such as DosBox). Note: The attached files are clean, but you may get a potential threat warning, since some ".com" files may be harmful to a computer.

Download the Amiga version of the game. This version of Dragon Wars has the best graphics, but the game isn't as fast (and the emulator may be difficult to configure). Download the attached ZIP file, and use a program to decompress the files (such as WinZip). In order to play the game on a modern computer, you will need an AMIGA emulator (such as WinUAE).

Download the Nintendo (NES) version of the game. In our opinion, this is the worst way to experience the game. The user interface conversion is terrible, making gameplay difficult to enjoy. Download the attached ZIP file, and use a program to decompress the files (such as WinZip). In order to play the game on a modern computer, you will need an NES emulator (such as Nestopia).
